Music When Soft Voices Die

Poet: P.B Shelly one of the greatest poet of romantic age. He has been accepted as a great lyrical poet in the field of English Literature.
Theme: In this poem Shelley has expressed his thoughts on this separation from his beloved. He wants to convey the message that love does not end with the separation of beloved. He makes this clear by some beautiful examples.
Style: It is very charming lyric. It consists of only two stanzas, each of four lines. In this stanza first and second lines are unrhymed while third line is rhyming with the fourth. It the second stanza first line is rhyming with the second and third line rhyming with the fourth.
Language: Language of the poem is very simple and easy to understand though the words are simple but are replet with emotions. The musical quality of the poem is noteworthy.
Conclusion: In this short but beautiful lyric, Shelley has been very successful in imparting his emotions to the readers. The poem possesses sweet melody and reads like a song. This short lyric is really a master piece of Shalley.
