Excretion In Planaria: The excretory system of planaria consists of one pair of longitudnal excretory tubule having a large of excretory cells called "flame cells" or "protonephridia" (proto=first, nephridi=kidney). The flame cells is nucleated and in the space of flame cell a number of flagella which vibrate like flickering flame of candle. The beating of flagella of flame cells causes the fluid (nitrogenous wastes) into longitudnal tubule and then gasout by nephndiopores.
